It Is Not Over Yet God Can Still Bring It to Pass

Proof Text: John 11:28–44

Tell Somebody: “It Is Not Over Until God Says It Is Over!”

God’s timing is not the same as our timing. Sometimes we expect God to answer immediately, and when the answer does not come when we expect it, we begin to believe that it is too late.

But I want to tell somebody today: It is not over yet. God can still bring it to pass.

What looks delayed to you is not necessarily denied by God. What appears impossible in the eyes of man is still possible with God.

God’s Time Is Different From Your Time

We must learn to recognise and respond to God’s calling and His appointed time.

When God calls you to do something, do not allow fear, doubt, or feelings of inadequacy to stop you. Moses initially questioned whether he was capable when God called him, but God assured him that He would be with him.

When you faithfully do the work God has called you to do, trust Him to take care of the things that concern you.

Do not spend your life saying, “I am not ready.” When God calls you, trust His grace to prepare and strengthen you.

Look at the Story of Lazarus

In John 11, Lazarus became sick and eventually died. By the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

To everyone around him, it appeared to be over.

Martha told Jesus that if He had been there, her brother would not have died. Humanly speaking, there seemed to be no hope left. Lazarus had been buried, and Martha even warned that after four days there would already be an odour.

But what looked finished to people was not finished with God.

Jesus went to the tomb and commanded:

“Lazarus, come forth!”

And the man who had been dead for four days came out alive.

This teaches us that God is not limited by how long you have been waiting.

Your Delay Is Not Your Denial

Maybe you have been praying for something for a long time.

Maybe you have been waiting for a breakthrough.

Maybe you have watched other people receive what you have been asking God for while you are still waiting.

Do not conclude that God has forgotten you.

Delay does not necessarily mean denial.

Lazarus had been dead for four days, but Jesus still came. When Jesus arrived, the situation changed.

There are situations in your life that may look dead today, but God still has the power to breathe life into them.

Don’t Say It’s Over When God Hasn’t Said So

People may look at your circumstances and tell you there is no hope.

Your situation may even make you feel that you should give up.

But never put a full stop where God has only placed a comma.

Don’t say it is over when God has not said it is over.

Your past cannot stop God’s purpose for your future. Your mistakes cannot make God powerless. Your disappointment cannot cancel His promises.

If God has spoken concerning your life, continue to trust Him.

God Can Still Do It

No matter how long you have waited, God can still do it.

No matter how difficult the situation appears, God can still turn it around.

No matter what happened in your past, God can still give you a new beginning.

No matter who has given up on you, God has not finished with you.

The same Jesus who stood before the tomb of Lazarus and called him back to life is still able to bring restoration, hope, and new beginnings today.

Declaration

It is not over yet!

God can still bring His promises to pass in my life.

My delay will not cause me to lose my faith.

I will not give up because of what I see today.

I will trust God’s timing.

I will trust His Word.

I will trust His purpose for my life.

Whatever looks impossible today, I place it in the hands of God.

If God has not said it is over, I will keep believing. My testimony is still coming, my purpose is still alive, and God can still bring it to pass.
